“Scandic Sjolyst's split”
Scandic Sjølyst is a pretty-good nice stay in normal times — a good location five minutes' walk from the train station and seven minutes into central Oslo, a great clean hotel, cosy adequate rooms with a comfortable bed, a very good burger dinner one quiet night, a spectacular breakfast, and friendly staff. Caveats though: a severe pan reports a staff strike during a six-night stay — breakfast fell to dry bread and cheese slices, rooms went completely unserviced (no linen, bin, toilet or towel changes), the explanation was simply that staff were striking, and there was no warning before booking; the guest calls charging full rates without service unfair.
