Grand Hotel Oslo is a historic luxury hotel in the city heart — a perfect first-timer location near the station, a great art-filled restaurant, a just-perfect Grand Café breakfast, and a very helpful concierge. Caveats though: small older rooms with odd noises, a too-warm pool, a dead hairdryer, staff miscues and a bored feel, and a guest who left early could not get two nights refunded.
