Leone Blu Suites | UNA Esperienze is a special eight-room hotel in a five-hundred-year-old noble palazzo — huge unique suites (a ninety-square-metre option had five-metre ceilings and two shower bathrooms), fantastic river views, a good tidy breakfast, branded toiletries, a superb Florence location, and warm staff who met guests outside to carry bags. Caveats though: the entrance confuses, one room ventilated poorly with a smelly windowless bathroom, the minibar is paid, rates run dear, and an arrogant desk agent refused searching the bin for a forgotten tax form.
