“Swanky NOLA design star, scalded guest”
Virgin Hotels New Orleans is a swanky, design-forward downtown hotel — a cool vibe, photogenic lobby, an amazing pool bar, city views, rooms loaded with snacks and drinks like a private bar, quiet surroundings a ten-plus-minute walk from the French Quarter, and a supermarket outside. One guest suffered a serious incident though: only scalding water ran — staff reportedly acknowledged a system issue — leaving burns and blisters, plus a dirty worn room with a bathroom door that wouldn't close and little resemblance to photos.
