“Old-town-edge Baku boutique, minor quirks”
Boutique 19 Hotel sits right at the old town wall — a pedestrian street, restaurants, cafés and the embankment five minutes away — and guests call it a de facto five-star despite its lower listing tier: clean, photo-accurate rooms with comfortable mattresses, pillows and an iron, a second-floor restaurant opening onto a garden and the old street, and a rich breakfast with fresh juices and porridge. Front-desk service is thoughtful. Practical quirks: bed linen once smelled of chlorine, tissues were absent, the entrance door can pinch fingers, staff smoked under one window, and taxis need a short bag-drag to reach.
