“Hoxton charm near Haymarket, tired edges”
The Hoxton Edinburgh is a lovely, social hotel a block from Haymarket station — super friendly staff, comfortable beds, a big lobby games selection, great cocktails, good pizza and breakfast. But wear shows: a tired, smelly room and moldy-mildew corridors below street level that triggered allergies; street-facing low floors suffer delivery noise (book higher); housekeeping isn't automatic — towels needed chasing; bunk rooms lack ladder handles; toilets misbehaved; rooms run warm; and there's no parking.
