“Douro-side split stay”
Facing the Douro river with the tram and tram museum at the door — a rooftop terrace for wine at sunset — Vincci Porto draws good overall stays: a clean quiet room, excellent helpful staff who carried heavy bags up, a rich splendid breakfast and a convenient spot, skip the door-side restaurant whose egg tart disappointed. A severe pan though: one guest called it the worst four-star, a very rude front desk, a dirty uncleaned lift, no working room wifi across two days despite a five-minute promise, no explanation or apology, and many rooms face an old building's wall.
