“Ipanema's sol hotel”
Directly in front of Ipanema Beach, Sol Ipanema Hotel is a perfectly-located stay: stunning ocean views, a wonderful rooftop pool and bar with one of Rio's best sunsets, super comfy beds in a nice big beautiful room, a great shower, excellent English-speaking front-desk service, early check-in and luggage storage. Cautions though: weak soundproofing — the lift bell, housekeeping and slamming doors carry — and a verdict that rooms and infrastructure urgently need updating.
