Arctic Club Hotel is a rustic unique stay — a classically-decorated older property near Pioneer Square within walking or short ride of Pike Place, the waterfront, Chinatown's Chinese and Japanese food, the Columbia Tower viewpoint and a light rail at the door for the airport and sights, fairly-large family-friendly rooms, a good breakfast buffet with generous fruit, free afternoon tea and coffee in the lobby, and occasional excellent live music in the lounge. Caveats though: a severe dissent reports a stinking lobby carpet, a phone nobody answers, understaffed service, a toilet problem left unfixed and a wife finding a used contact lens and bugs — never again.
