“Seville's split stay”
A kilometre-plus walk to the cathedral and Alcázar with a prettier rooftop view, Hotel Macià Sevilla Kubb is a beyond-expectations excellent-value stay: a huge convenient room, kind attentive service, sufficient daily cleaning and a small-but-bonus pool. A severe dissent though: the only Spain-Portugal hotel on one trip to give no water — the desk refused to acknowledge it — four-star claims met budget-feeling furniture, a half-glass shower screen splashing water out, and a sheet-only 'quilt' with no duvet on a cool night.
