Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Colorful Yunnan is a grand pleasant stay for many — a tidy hotel beside the metro near Wuyi Road and the Nanya City mall with lots of food and summer performances, a wide-varied uncrowded breakfast, a big room with a big bed and a choice of pillows plus a thin comfortable quilt, fast water-and-towel responses, a lost item found and mailed back immediately, and excellent service from Wendy. Caveats though: a severe dissent reports a pillow core stinking of smoke, a previous guest's false eyelashes still stuck by the mirror, useless central air conditioning with sealed floor-to-ceiling windows leaving two sleepless hot nights, and nobody helping with suitcases despite staff watching them arrive.
