A five-to-seven-minute walk from the beach — a mall, eateries, a noodle spot and a rental desk below — Waikiki Malia is a convenient highly-recommended stay for many: a clean spacious room, friendly attentive staff, well-equipped facilities and easy rides downstairs. Cautions though: a colliding-door room layout with a big underused bathroom, alternate-day cleaning that left trash overflowing, sheet-wrapped-blanket bedding that felt less fresh, no disposable amenities or slippers and a multi-level car park that filled late.
