“Hotel Catalina Canyon's”
Catalina Canyon Inn is an enjoyable family stay — a hillside spot a little outside busy Avalon with a helpful shuttle running every ten-or-so minutes to the pier and downtown from morning into evening, friendly for travellers with luggage, a pool, bar, restaurant and games, clean rooms, and a nestled-away calm; a last-minute booking did not disappoint. Caveats though are real: one guest's daughter was scared by ants in the room corner and the hotel refused to move them from the ground floor, a hygiene mismatch for the setting.
