“Rise's desert oasis”
Rise Uptown Hotel is a cute unique stay — a desert-oasis ambiance in central Phoenix with cool functional design, extremely helpful staff, welcome popsicles, a great pool bar and pool kept swimmable year-round by shade covers, misters and fans, Cartel coffee on site, a fairly-clean room, and a walkable area full of options. Caveats though: the pool closes early for lack of lighting — a real bummer for night swims — and the on-site restaurant drew poor-service and meh-food notes.
