“Stendhal Rome's central, disputed stay”
Stendhal Hotel is a small, clean central-Rome hotel — an excellent convenient location ten minutes from the Trevi with restaurants, a mall and the metro close, interesting retro room design, a rich breakfast with free sodas and cola, free printing, and a helpful reception team; guests found it good value. The complaints: a six-hundred-dollar deposit promised back in five days was still missing on day thirteen; a classic single booking delivered an inferior-category room that required paying extra — poor transparency; sheets went unchanged across a stay; and the breakfast was very bad — the same few cold items daily per another guest.
