A hidden Okunikko find — forty-five minutes by taxi or ninety by bus from Tobu Nikko — Yunomori runs pure sulfur free-flowing springs to public baths and in-room tubs, serves generous kaiseki where every dish shows fresh local care, and welcomes non-Japanese speakers warmly. Rooms renovated in 2023 are clean and comfortable though small; Lake Yunoko and Yunotaki falls walk nearby. One wish: English instructions for adjusting bath temperature.
