On the seam of Barcelona's old town and Eixample, TOC Hostel offers a clean pool, a big lobby, a nice bar and kitchen. The female eight-bed dorm has two toilets, two showers and two basins, lockers need your own padlock or a purchased one, laundry dries downstairs only, and three breakfast tiers scale by appetite. Extras sting: towels not included and a seven-euro tax surprised one guest; morning cleaners are loud.
