A nine-room retro pension run by a sweet English-capable grandmother — clean-obsessed, bento eaters asked to use the porch bench — across the road from Lake Chuzenji, five minutes to Kegon Falls and the boat pier, rooms glimpsing the lake and post-rain rainbows.
