Mount Fuji fills the frame at Shuhokaku Kogetsu — from room hot tubs, the onsen and the breakfast restaurant — and traditional hospitality runs deep, with station pickup, in-room dinners and fresh tempura made to order at the Japanese buffet. Two small regrets: rough disposable chopsticks at dinner and a loud air conditioner that bothers light sleepers.
