A short walk from Universal Studios Japan — one reason families return a second spring — J-Hoppers Osaka Universal is a clean well-run hostel with fluent-English reception and a friendly relaxed vibe. Ajikawaguchi station links to the Osaka Loop, Kansai airport, Kyoto, Kobe and Hiroshima; the Nepalese place Dilkhus near the station gets a nod. One furious guest calls it terrible and urges staying at Shinsaibashi instead.
