Across the red bridge from Hakone-Yumoto's final stop with a direct elevator up, Yumoto Fujiya is the convenience pick — bookable private onsen anytime, a second-floor bath lounge with reclining chairs and milk vending, drinkable tap water and good soundproofing. Trade-offs: small rooms that squeeze two suitcases, a crowded seven-am breakfast heavy on cold dishes, a late eight-pm dinner seating and few public baths.
