Best forcouples · privacy seekers
Kinnotake, a deeply private Sengokuhara ryokan where kaiseki dinners and breakfasts come to the room — no real public space — and in-room open-air baths soak beautifully; two-story rooms feel spacious with big beds and bamboo-forest views. Most call it comfortable and excellent value. One guest found it pitch-black, creepy and maze-like at night, fleeing within minutes; the same seclusion others love.
