Aston Waikiki Beach Tower is a repeat-visit favourite directly across the road from the sand — unbeatable ocean-front views from wraparound balconies, free valet parking, gift bags of water bottles and sunscreen, full kitchens with rice cookers for family meals, all-washlet bathrooms (two showers in the 2BR), a pool below, and food, cafés and supermarkets all around. Facilities skew dated — typical for Hawaii — but everything's kept well and staff are wonderfully warm. The one dealbreaker: essentially no soundproofing, with louvered doors and closet-board walls carrying every sound between bedrooms.
