The Omnia is an outstanding five-star Zermatt hideaway — a magical James Bond entry by electric trolley through a stone cave (call ahead for station pickup since the alley entrance hides), large comfortable rooms with direct Matterhorn views, gifted wine, chocolate and apples, a tasty Michelin restaurant, top-notch spa and food, and incredible staff — the best service guests had met, detailed enough to remember and ask about activities and land a last-minute Chez Vrony table. One note: a standing construction crane temporarily blocked views and added noise, though beyond the hotel's control.
