“Garden-oasis Florence, scenic walks”
Palazzo Montebello is a beautifully designed Florence hotel ten minutes' winding walk from the station — lovely entrance and restaurant gardens, serene cottage-like surroundings, clean comfortable rooms with 10/10 shower pressure, a rich-for-Europe breakfast enjoyed in the garden, and incredible professional staff who carry and store luggage. Watch-outs: sights are a solid walk (the Arno route is scenic, and central taxis are scarce), breakfast service was mediocre with payable egg upgrades, and cleaning staff may not speak English.
