Is Nazuna Kyoto Nijo-jo good? Overview, pros and cons
Staylist AI overview · based on 8 public guest reviews
“Nazuna Nijo-jo's machiya stay”
Nazuna Kyoto Nijo-jo is a small machiya-style inn near the castle — spacious bright traditional rooms (one with a Japanese garden), great toiletries, free snacks, drinks and sake, a ceremonial breakfast where an attendant grills vegetables and steak to order, and genuinely warm staff (one fetched a miso recipe remembered from conversation). Hardware caveats are real: weak wall-unit heating took hours and ran loud overnight, the bath area sat cold, stairs are awkward, check-in ran long, and the sukiyaki dinner's beef disappointed versus dedicated restaurants.
