On a quite convenient great spot — Miramar mall walkable, near the observatory on a hill slope, an affordable taxi hop from West Kowloon — Stanford Hillview Hotel is a great-value recommended stay: a reasonable-size logical-layout room, an upgrade to the top floor with observatory views, immaculate facilities, an excellent adequate breakfast, friendly staff, a praised minibar, included toothbrush set and toiletries. Cautions: hair on a shower-gel bottle and cushion, an empty never-refilled shampoo, a hard hill climb far from the MTR, drive up instead.
