“The Quisby's parade-route budget stay”
The Quisby is an affordable New Orleans hostel-style property — the Mardi Gras parade passes the door, a cute two-bed room with just enough space, a nice bar, transit nearby including the streetcar, included breakfast, good late-arrival check-in communication, an iron and board, and amazing polite staff. The complaints: a humid wet room with unclean never-changed sheets — the pair washed everything themselves and felt the room made them sick; no daily housekeeping (management states this is disclosed); the HVAC ran noisy; and 'it's a hostel, not the advertised hotel.'
