“Old-school Florence luxury, uneven rooms”
Golden Tower Hotel & Spa is a classically old-school five-star just off Florence's tourist crush — walkable to the Uffizi and Duomo, a cozy bar for post-touring wind-downs, a great breakfast, and wonderful staff like Daniel on a repeat visit. Rooms vary: soundproofing is good but tubs are narrow, one guest got a different room than booked — cold and stairbound, unsuitable for weak knees — and felt a front-desk manager treated Chinese guests dismissively afterward. Tiny nightly water bottles also struck them as stingy.
