“Bernini Palace's Signoria perch”
Bernini Palace Hotel is an elegant Florence five-star on Piazza della Signoria — the Uffizi, Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and Santa Croce all within five hundred meters, great welcoming polite staff, and a breakfast praised by most. Caveats though: one room ran smaller than booked, a yellowish sheet felt old and unclean on the last day, and one guest reported the worst restaurant service in years — plates never cleared without calling — though management apologized in person with chocolates.
