On a forested hill — free bookable shuttles to Jungceylon and Patong beach — Avista Hideaway Phuket Patong - MGallery is a very beautiful amazing stay for many: a big comfortable room with king bed and sofa bed, an infinity pool with sea and forest views, sunset-from-room vistas, kind service-minded polite staff and a close-to-everything feel. A severe complaint though: unclear signage that left arriving guests circling, termites and bugs throughout the room, bites on adults and kids, a Michelin-touted Indian dinner followed by three days of family illness, and a housekeeping entry without knocking per that guest.
