A terrific family-flavoured all-inclusive, Viva Azteca by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive Resort, offers: a very nice pool, kind hard-working staff — sargassum crews praised even in rain — large rooms with comfy beds, good food with excellent buffet variety, better-than-typical resort meals and lots of entertainment. Dissents though: sargassum offshore despite cleanup, a too-warm room the air conditioning could not fix, terrible cocktails amid okay wine, a didn't-care-for-the-food verdict and a dated-but-maintained feel.
