“Riverfront Florence classic, lift ordeal”
Plaza Hotel Lucchesi is a classy riverside Florence hotel — convenient to all attractions, clean quiet comfortable rooms, amazing helpful staff, and a scenic rooftop restaurant (rated poor value). Two incidents loom: one guest initially received the wrong room, then endured yellow-turbid shower water and an absurd half-glass tub design that floods the bathroom before a room change; the next day a violently-shaking lift stranded them between floors with only two bottles of water offered. A billed optional service charge also rankled.
