“Grand Canal glamour, service gaps”
The St. Regis Venice pairs an ideal Grand Canal position with chic view rooms, convenient concierge service, early check-ins, room decorations and wine for celebrations, and friendly smiling staff. Service consistency is the issue though: a wife's restaurant birthday wish went unaddressed despite repeated reminders; one guest who booked a Grand Canal luxury room months ahead was handed a tiny basic room until their platform intervened; breakfast quality is thin with haughty waiters; and a family emergency cancellation met inflexibility and no refund.
