High in Hakone with Mount Fuji views from the hot-spring bath, Hotel Green Plaza Hakone runs on a dinner-and-breakfast buffet model guests mostly enjoy, with free-flow salmon, beef and ice cream and a praised apple pie. Rooms are clean and large but the building is plainly dated, and two reviewers found the buffet lacking variety and quality. There is little to do after dark, and ropeway users must return before 5pm.
