Best forbackpackers · solo travelers
A jazz bar, a huge shared kitchen and a spot ten minutes from Nishiki market, ShinPukan and the metro make Piece Hostel Sanjo a Kyoto backpacker staple; solo travelers get friendly private rooms, the lounge is huge, and the modern green aesthetic pleases. Service is uneven — some staff cold, some warm — and tiny flies visited the washing area.
