Right by the metro in the 12th, The People Bercy delivers the basics well — two metro lines, in-room AC, private bathrooms in some rooms, a shared kitchen, a rooftop and secure luggage lockers, all at a rate guests call unbeatable for Paris. Twenty-four-hour staff are patient and kind. Cleanliness wavers though: one bunk arrived with crumbs and rolled-up sheets, bathrooms run cramped, and the elevator is slow.
