A calm, friendly Amsterdam hostel where the ground-floor female dorm spares heavy-luggage climbs, separated showers and toilets serve every dorm, and the AC keeps air quality great. The crowd runs considerate and quiet, staff are kind — one shorter desk member got called mean — and trams reach everything though the spot is not central. Downsides: self-made and self-removed bedding, peak-hour shower queues, and a narrow suitcase-unfriendly staircase.
