A five-star-feeling capsule on Kawaramachi's main drag, Glansit pairs exceptionally clean, new facilities — POLA toiletries, a ladies' floor, self-serve amenities and a washer — with free drinks including a daily hot matcha. The Kamo river, Hanamikoji and buses toward Kiyomizu are all walkable, and pods sleep quiet. Notes: one card opens every lock, signs for toilets are subtle, the city accommodation tax is collected at the desk, and staff speak English and Japanese.
